Mr. Andrew Bloch – Lead Teacher
Mr. Bloch attended Concordia University, Nebraska, from 2013-2016, graduating with a degree in Theology and minors in History and Philosophy. He earned his MA from Concordia Seminary in 2019 and wrote a thesis for this degree entitled, “Recapitulation and Christ’s Active Obedience: A Lutheran Retrieval of Irenaeus.” His current dissertation research at Concordia Seminary centers on the Christology of Maximus the Confessor.

Dr. Brent Royuk – Science
After graduating from Concordia in 1988, Dr. Brent Royuk taught for seven years at Metro-East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, Ill. At Concordia since 1995, he teaches courses in physics and science education. Dr. Royuk has previously served as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Concordia University.

Dr. Elizabeth Grimpo – Music
Dr. Grimpo is a Professor of Music at Concordia University, Nebraska. She regularly collaborates with her colleagues and has given several solo recitals as well, performing piano music of Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Dello Joio, Haydn, Hensel, Mendelssohn, Oquin, Scarlatti, Schubert, C. Schumann, and R. Schumann. In 2015, she was named Outstanding Teacher of the Year.

Prof. Justin Groth — Art
Justin Groth is an Associate Professor of Art at Concordia, where he has taught since 2016 after receiving his MFA in Ceramics at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Justin has been recognized nationally and internationally for his artwork, and has been included in the NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) 2019 Annual, CIVA (Christians in the Visual Arts) juried exhibition, as well as the Geonggi International Ceramic Biennale 2017 where he received an honorable mention.

Dr. Timothy A. Schroeder — Math
Dr. Schroeder is Professor of Mathematics at Concordia University, Nebraska. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a master of science in mathematics from Kansas State University and a bachelor of science in education from Concordia University, Nebraska.

Mrs. Lindsay Bloch – Literature
Mrs. Lindsay Bloch graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska, in Secondary Education, with an English emphasis. She taught at Providence Classical Christian Academy in St. Louis before moving to Seward.

Dr. Kurt von Kampen – Choir
Kurt E. von Kampen is the Chair of the Music Department at Concordia University and A Cappella choir conductor. He leads the Scholasticus Choir for the Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education at the annual CCLE summer conference.

Dr. Gabriel Haley – Headmaster
Dr. Haley is Professor of English at Concordia University, Nebraska. He holds a B.A. in English and Classics from Hillsdale College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia. He is a board member for the Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education.

Rev. Dr. Genter is Assistant Professor of Theology at Concordia University, Nebraska.

Rev. Scheck is Associate Pastor at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, Nebraska.

Mrs. Irdi Jones – Administrative Assistant
Originally from the Faroe Islands, Mrs. Jones served as missionary in Europe for 15 years along with her husband, Pastor Joshua D. Jones. Before relocating to the US in 2022, she served as music director at their home church near Cambridge, England. They raised and home educated their four children in France, Ireland and England. Irdi is a trained vocalist, lover of classic literature, and an avid sourdough baker with a small cottage industry.
